Job Summary

Pyyne is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with experience in .NET C# to work as a Consultant for a large US-based Insurance client from our Brazilian Office. The candidate should be a capable player-coach, providing technical support to mid-level and junior developers, and contributing to the team's codebase. The team will interact regularly with stakeholders in the client organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain web applications using .NET Framework/.NET Core and C#
  • Build responsive user interfaces using MVC architecture and React components
  • Develop and optimize SQL Server databases, stored procedures, and queries
  • Implement Entity Framework for data access and ORM
  • Apply dependency injection principles and design patterns for scalable architecture
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Participate in code reviews and maintain coding standards
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in insurance applications
  • Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance
  • Contribute to system architecture decisions and technology roadmap planning

Must Have Skills

  • 5+ years of professional software development in an Agile environment
  • Proficiency in .NET Framework/.NET Core and C#
  • Experience with ASP.NET MVC, React.js, JavaScript ES6+
  • Advanced SQL Server skills
  • Experience with Entity Framework
  • Knowledge of dependency injection and IoC containers
  • Experience with RESTful API development
  • Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design

Nice to Have Skills

  • Experience in insurance or financial services industry
  • Knowledge of Azure cloud services
  • Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks
