MuscleWiki is building the world’s largest exercise database, supported by powerful fitness tools that help people train smarter. We’re looking for a full stack engineer to join our small but growing team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both frontend work and backend/API development, and who wants to collaborate closely with our existing engineers on day-to-day projects while also driving forward our new API initiative.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the buildout of our API product. Starting with RapidAPI and later transitioning to our own in-house solution.
  • Collaborate with our technical lead to design, plan, and deliver core product features.
  • Maintain and improve our frontend stack by modernizing code and replacing legacy technologies.
  • Contribute to technical discussions, architecture decisions, and product planning.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.

Our Frontend Tech Stack

  • Next.js
  • JavaScript
  • CSS / Bootstrap
  • SVG (Bodymaps)
  • Python (Django backend)

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong experience with frontend technologies and an eye for clean, functional design.
  • Hands-on experience building APIs (RapidAPI experience a plus).
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a remote, distributed team.
  • Experience across the software development lifecycle: design, development, and implementation.
