Position Summary We are looking for a Strategy and Sales Operations leader for the AWS LatAm (Latin America) Global Sales Operations team to help drive long‑term growth of the business. The ideal candidate is a self‑starter who is passionate about using data and has a track record of leadership to help us measure and run every area of the business and influence decision‑making. In this role, you will develop and execute AWS LatAm business cadences, continuously evolve forecasting models, analyze historical results, and make business recommendations based on those analyses – all in an environment of rapid growth and increasing complexity. As the direct reporting line to the VP of AWS LatAm and a member of the LatAm leadership team, you will develop, implement, and manage the business processes, systems, reports, and strategies that optimize business functions to meet organizational goals and initiatives. Responsibilities Lead change management through direct team leadership and cross‑functional influence Improve reporting tools and processes to enhance data accessibility and insights Develop and execute business targets aligned with organizational vision Drive scalable solutions to complex business challenges Build and lead high‑performing teams Translate complex analytics into clear, actionable insights Collaborate effectively with sales and functional teams Demonstrate strong project and change management capabilities Exhibit effective communication and stakeholder relationship management, analytical insight, and be a passionate advocate for customers to internal stakeholders Serve as a key partner and advisor to the Vice President of AWS LatAm, supporting and/or representing them when needed Drive the operating model to support growth strategies, including Public Sector‑specific initiatives Support the execution and scaling of Generative AI initiatives to unlock data‑driven insights and support customer innovation Collaborate on the design, development, maintenance, and delivery of forecasting models, metrics, reports, analyses, and dashboards to drive key business decisions Serve as an active member of the AWS LatAm Geo leadership team, contributing to initiatives and decisions Lead the annual LatAm Geo/Area goals recommendations, budgeting, and ongoing forecasting processes Use metrics and supporting business dashboards to give visibility to senior management regarding business operations and customer segment performance Work cross‑functionally to drive overall sales organization readiness, including territory planning, investment guidance, and headcount allocation Help build and drive strategic change plans across the sales organization Assist in defining, landing, and executing strategic initiatives for the LatAm field sales teams Collaborate with internal end‑users and cross‑functional teams to incubate new programs and implement new initiatives with the field sales teams Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or related field 10+ years in a senior leadership role in Finance, Sales Operations, Business Development, including development and implementation of systems/tools utilized for CRM, sales compensation, revenue reporting, forecasting, sales force automation, etc. Strong business‑process design experience; exhibits sound business judgment, a proven ability to influence others, strong analytical skills, and a proven track record of taking ownership, leading data‑driven analyses, and influencing results Able to operate successfully in a lean, fast‑paced organization, and to create a vision and organization that can scale quickly Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of presenting to senior management Experience working within a high‑growth, technology company is highly beneficial MBA or other relevant advanced degree About AWS AWS is the world’s most comprehensive and broadly adopted cloud platform.
