About The Role The Credit Risk Squad is part of the 2nd line of Defence, responsible for managing and overseeing the credit risk function of our organization by providing independent oversight and challenge to the first line of defence. As a second line Credit Risk team, we monitor credit risk exposure, conduct credit risk assessment and provide guidance and support to the credit areas which execute credit decisions and manage credit risk on a day‑to‑day basis. You’ll be responsible for Challenge credit business models to find enhancement opportunities Set up a reporting procedure to guarantee efficient communication and influence regarding Nubank credit portfolio performance to enable Nubank’s sustainable growth Propose and monitor KPIs to explain changes in Nubank credit risk portfolio Understand financial metrics related to profitability/earnings and costs Experience in presentations to senior management to consolidate risk messages and updates Review and challenge credit policies defined by the first line Leverage your analytical and problem‑solving skills to manipulate and learn from data related to the credit portfolio We Are Looking For a Person Who Has Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, passionate about manipulating data to learn from it Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Economics, Math, Statistics, Physics or related fields Great coding skills (SQL, Python, Scala or other similar programming languages) Experience managing Credit Risk either working in the first line or second line of defence, or implementing credit‑risk related projects Preferred Qualifications Advanced or Fluent English Knowledge of Credit Risk Models/Policies (Valuation/Risk‑Returns), KPIs, Enterprise Risk Management Requirements Location for this opportunity (City, Country) São Paulo, Brazil Our Benefits Chance of earning equity at Nubank Food/Meal Card (Vale‑Refeição and/or Vale Alimentos) Public Transportation Commuting Benefit (Vale‑Transporte) NuCare – Psychological, Financial and Legal Assistance Program Life Insurance Medical Plan Dental Plan NuLanguage – Language Course Program NuCleo – Our learning platform of courses Extended Parental Leave Daycare Allowance Parental Consultancy Work‑from‑home Allowance Gym Partnerships 30 days of paid vacation Relocation Assistance Package, if applicable Work Model for this Role Hybrid 2–3 times/week: Our hybrid work model brings us to the office at least twice a week, on strategic days designed to maximize team connection and collaboration.
