Position Summary

The IT Operations Manager acts as the subject matter expert and single point of contact to the plant and office business leadership teams regarding any topic as it pertains to information technology. The IT Operations Manager should understand business requirements and priorities for multiple assigned locations in the region, and translate such into IT requirements. The manager defines and manages site or regionally targeted projects.

This role works closely with functional support teams within the infrastructure, application, and operational technology groups. By providing subject matter expertise, the IT Operations Manager is capable of proposing and providing standardized Huber solutions by leveraging the capabilities of the Huber IT organization. The IT Operations Manager holds the responsibility for successful IT project implementation and service delivery.

In addition, this role is responsible for identifying the need for and managing any required escalations.

The on-time and on-budget execution of the overall infrastructure lifecycle at the site rounds up this role, providing state-of-the-art technologies and outstanding user experience.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain a close working relationship with the IT organization to provide services around networks, hosting, process control, monitoring, and IT security.
  • Internal & external partner management.
  • Manage local budgets and provide input to the regional and global budgeting process.
  • Manage 3rd party service providers to meet and exceed SLA commitments.
  • Ensure site IT infrastructure lifecycle management and align to capacity growth proactively with accurate forecasts.
  • Responsible for managing the local 24x7 escalation process of problems to appropriate support personnel.
  • Act as a liaison between sites and the network as well as hosting and end-user experience teams to assist in issue resolution and request completion.
  • Maintain responsibility for timely resolution of problems, communication to clients regarding problem status, and maintenance of status/resolution information in a problem management system.
  • Coordinate resource communications and resolution of incident management processes among stakeholders.
  • Ensure best-in-class IT service delivery according to established SLAs and KPIs.
  • Identify and drive projects to improve IT infrastructure processes and customer experience.
  • Deliver all phases of infrastructure project management and execution according to established Huber Project Management standards.
  • Assess opportunities for optimization and initiate improvement processes.
  • Optimize spending, improve, and streamline IT service delivery.
  • Leverage and execute industry-leading infrastructure management and support methodologies, designed to minimize customer outages and impacts.
  • Recommend and implement systems and processes to improve performance, security, and availability of IT services.
  • Responsible for local IT business continuity management and alignment of global disaster recovery processes.
Specialized/Technical Knowledge or Required Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, management information systems, or equivalent work experience.
  • 7+ years of IT experience.
  • Demonstrated project expertise with infrastructure-related projects.
  • Experience working with insourced and outsourced IT operations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent teamwork and collaborative skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in local and English language.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with server room configurations, maintenance, and monitoring.
  • Experience with Microsoft product maintenance.
  • Experience with network communications and wireless technologies.
  • Experience with VoIP unified communications services.
  • Track record of agility and flexibility in responding to shifting priorities.
  • Familiarity with 24x7 manufacturing environments, policies, and procedures.
  • Familiarity with project management frameworks.
