The Medical Information Specialist role is crucial in providing high-quality medical information responses to customers, adhering to regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities Include:

1. Responding to Customer Inquiries

• Respond to customer requests for medical and safety information received via telephone, email, letter, fax, and scientific meetings.

2. Providing Medical/Safety Information Responses

• Provide labeled and unlabeled medical/safety information responses in accordance with regulatory requirements and client policies.

3. Identifying, Documenting, and Reporting Adverse Events

• Accurately identify, document and report adverse events, pregnancy reports, special situation events and product complaints.

4. Maintaining Quality and Productivity

• Ensure tasks are completed within the agreed deadlines.

5. Developing and Providing Custom Medical Information Responses

• Formulate and provide accurate responses utilizing approved labeling and company standard responses.

6. Quality Assurance and Compliance

• Maintain quality in all areas of the job, including performing quality checks on adverse events, product quality complaints, correspondence, and enquiries logged into the system.

7. After-Hours Coverage and Confidentiality

• Provides after-hours coverage on a rotated basis and adheres to privacy policies.

Requirements:


• Nursing degree (RN/BS/BA/MS) mandatory


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including proofreading and professional telephone etiquette


• Ability to write in a fluent and grammatically correct manner in the target language


• Mother tongue in Brazilian Portuguese, fluent in English


• Working knowledge of medical terminology, pathophysiology, pharmacology, regulations and industry standards


• Strong cognitive abilities, including verbal reasoning, critical thinking and analytical ability


• Ability to multitask with attention to detail within restrictive timeframes


• Highly proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office software platforms and Adobe Acrobat
