Linux Systems Administrator

As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in leading production and project support for Linux environments.

Your primary responsibilities include:

  • Leading L2/L3 production and project support for Linux environments
  • Managing installations, patching, migrations, and scripting (Shell & Perl)
  • Troubleshooting hardware/software issues across Linux, HP-UX, Solaris, and AIX
  • Optimizing system performance and availability
  • C-coaching and mentoring team members
  • Working with ITIL-based tools and monitoring systems

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Hands-on experience in Linux and Unix systems
  • Deep expertise in filesystem, volume, and storage management
  • Strong knowledge of networking, clustering (PCS), and system hardening
  • Familiarity with SAN/NAS, backup tools (TSM, VEEAM), and storage suites (EMC, NetApp, Hitachi)
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Flexibility to work weekends and non-standard hours
  • Advanced English language proficiency

Bonus points will be awarded for:

  • L-linux certification
  • German language skills
  • Experience with Veritas Cluster, Apache, DNS, DHCP, LDAP
