About the Role Grade Level (for internal use) : 09 The Team Our team is responsible for assigning and surveilling national scale credit ratings in Mexico. We cover a variety of sectors including corporates financial institutions infrastructure local and regional governments and structured finance. Our work is vital in enhancing transparency and comparability in financial markets aiding investors in measuring and managing credit risk. This position offers broad support to the analytical team involving collaboration with senior analysts in credit portfolio analysis committee presentations and database maintenance. Youll gather and apply financial technical and other essential data to support debt rating activities. What You Stand to Gain This role offers a dynamic learning environment where you can grow your analytical skills and sector exposure. Youll have the opportunity to lead analysis on straightforward credits draft rating rationales and present them in internal committees. As you progress youll contribute to cross-sector discussions and research mentor junior analysts and implement efficiency improvements using AI and automation tools. Responsibilities Independently contribute to the analysis of simpler credits with growing sector exposure. Lead analysis on straightforward credits with limited supervision. Draft rating rationales and present in internal committees. Begin contributing to cross-sector discussions and research. Mentor Grade 8 analysts on basic tasks and workflows. Identify and implement efficiency improvements using AI and automation tools. Actively contribute to team discussions offering new ideas and participating in reverse mentoring. All employees are required to work from the office a minimum of 2 days per week. We require all candidates who reach the final stage of our interview process to attend at least one in‑person interview which is ordinarily at your nearest S&P Global Ratings office. This must be completed before we can proceed to an offer. What We’re Looking For A bachelors degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field. An S&P Global employee at this level would typically have 2 years experience. Solid understanding of rating methodologies and sector frameworks. Ability to manage a small portfolio independently. Developing cross‑sector analytical skills. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Proactive in suggesting improvements and sharing knowledge. Fluent in both English and Spanish.
