Summary:

Senior Database Developer II is responsible for the advanced design, development, maintenance, and optimization of our sophisticated database systems. This role is pivotal in ensuring the efficiency, reliability, and performance of BillingPlatform's database infrastructure, supporting seamless operations across our platform. The Senior Database Developer II will collaborate closely with teams of developers and other stakeholders to architect and implement robust database solutions that meet complex business requirements, establish and enforce best coding practices, and support our mission-critical applications.

Responsibilities:

• Advanced expertise in PL/SQL Development and code support: Design, develop, and maintain advanced PL/SQL code including complex functions, procedures, packages, triggers, types, pipeline, and object functions to support various business requirements and applications.
• Algorithm analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis and optimization of algorithms to enhance database performance and efficiency, ensuring optimal resource utilization and scalability.
• Lead the design and development of the database-related projects: Collaborate with the team to design and implement database structures that align with business needs and support future scalability and growth. Take part in software architectural design.
• Leading the performance tuning: Proactively identify and resolve performance limits through database tuning, indexing strategies, query optimization, and other performance enhancement techniques.
• Investigate problems in the existing code base: Troubleshoot and debug issues in the existing code base, conduct root cause analysis, and implement effective solutions to ensure system stability and reliability.
• Work as part of the team on global initiatives: Work as an integral part of cross-functional teams on global initiatives, providing database expertise and support to drive project success and achieve business objectives.
• Accurately implement and document solutions: Ensure the precise implementation of solutions according to specifications and best practices, and maintain comprehensive documentation to facilitate knowledge sharing and future maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies, implementing best practices to safeguard data integrity and confidentiality.
• As part of the main job responsibilities, he/she will be required to adhere to all existing company policies and procedures.
  • Over 6 years of proven experience in PL/SQL development and database programming.
    • Strong understanding of database concepts, data structures, and algorithms.
    • Extensive experience in database design, performance tuning, and optimization.
    • Proficiency in troubleshooting and debugging database-related issues.
    • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
    • Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
    • Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
      • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Deep knowledge of advanced SQL concepts and techniques.
• Familiarity with database administration tasks such as backup and recovery, security management, and replication.
• Certification in Oracle PL/SQL or relevant technology.
