Software Developer Mid-Senior (Delphi, Oracle PL/SQL) — Remote work

Location: Remote – Brazil (must be located in Brazil). Mandatory: English fluency, Delphi, Oracle and Agile/Scrum.

Responsibilities
  • In the role, you will work with a dedicated, enthusiastic team developing enhancements to a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and supporting the LIMS' multiple customers.
  • As a Delphi Developer, actively interact with Product Owners and other stakeholders to:
    • Estimate the complexity and the workload
    • Choose the most appropriate technical solution to meet user requirements
    • Design, develop and deploy changes to the LIMS according to customers and business user requirements
    • Support the LIMS in collaboration with other team members
    • Work together with Engineers/QA to ensure high quality of delivered solutions
    • Ensure good practices and high quality standards are implemented and followed
Qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience developing solutions using Embarcadero Delphi 2006 or later (Delphi 12 preferable). Experience with Delphi for Windows Services and/or UI Forms is a bonus.
  • 4+ years of experience with Oracle PL/SQL
  • Strong server-side development knowledge with Delphi and/or Oracle PL/SQL
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Good understanding of relational databases (Oracle 9i, 11c or later)
  • Strong knowledge of Agile software development practices, particularly Scrum and/or Kanban
  • Experience collaborating with Business Analysts and Software Architects
  • Some experience in test driven development and test automation
  • Comfortable with unit testing and mocking with Delphi
  • Ability to translate functional requirements into technical solutions
Education
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science or similar
