Quality Inspector

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented **Cable & Harness Inspector** to join our team in Caguas, Puerto Rico. This is a **part-time position** with a flexible schedule of **2-3 days per week on an as-needed basis**, with the **potential to transition into a full-time role**.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Perform first-article, in-process, and final inspections at one or more client suppliers in Caguas, PR.
- Ensure products meet quality and specification standards
- Verify safety wire orientation, correct turns, and pigtails as per specifications
- Confirm shipping documentation is legible and accurate (part number, serial number, etc.)
- Check documentation packages to industry standards and classify defects
- Interpret manufacturing drawings and identifying non-conformances
- Periodically verify accuracy and ensure productivity to meet production schedules
- Maintain equipment and keep the work area organized
**Required Qualifications**:
- Knowledge of cable and harness assembly methods
- Familiar with IPC-A-620 standards
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Cable and Harness Inspector/Assembler in electronic manufacturing or related fields
- Ability to read schematics, assembly drawings, and identify wiring components
- Proficient in documenting Certificates of Conformance (COC)
- Strong organizational, communication, and software adaptation skills
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- Certified or previously certified in IPC-A-620
- Diploma or GED from an accredited high school or technical school; college degree in engineering
- Knowledge of electronic contract manufacturing and LEAN manufacturing
- Preferred: 5 years of experience, with 2 years as a Cable and Harness Inspector
50% hourly rate for any travel time ("p2p")
Mileage reimbursement at the US gov't rate ($0.70 per mile driven). Untaxed.
