Andela is fully committed to delivering the right data solutions and data talent to the clients we serve. We provide our clients with managed services, outcome based projects and partially and fully integrated teams. The successful applicant will have a consulting background, commercialized products and will have worked on several client initiatives.
**Objectives of this Role**:
- Provide consultative guidance to our clients on their data management and data engineering approaches and input in client proposals when necessary
- Focus on joining up the necessary stakeholders across departments to assist in go-to-market strategies
- Create technical partnerships with commercial developers like Confluent, Astronomer, Snowflake, Databricks, etc. Fully vet them within the organization (Marketing, Sales, etc)
- Identify and train appropriate Andela engineers on the commercial products
- Cross-sell data projects for key clients, growing revenue and producing case studies to promote the data engineering, data science and data insights services
**Daily and Monthly Responsibilities**:
- In the areas of data management, data science, data integration, data migration, business intelligence, insights, partner with delivery teams to deliver on client projects
- Examine data, processes, and technologies to evaluate the current state and critical problems for external client projects
- Train and mentor teams in data principles
**Skills and Qualifications**:
- Great conceptual and some hands on experience with:
- Python, Java OR Scala
- Kafka OR Spark
- Data Orchestration
- ETL and Data Warehousing
- Strong client-facing experience as a data engineer/consultant
- Strong understanding of analytics and data science
- Keen eye for detail
- Proactive, self-sufficient, positive attitude
- Quick on your feet and flexible attitude
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- 5-7 years of data experience
- Bachelors or Masters degree
- Experience dealing with various senior stakeholders across the business
