Through our state-of-the-art processing facility, Surivit N.V., we not only produce nutritious and eco-friendly food products but also help rural women inbuilding a better future for themselves and their families by creating jobs for them.Job Overview:We are experiencing significant growth and are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to oversee and optimize our daily manufacturing and logistics operations. This key leadership role will focus on enhancing efficiency across production, supply chain, and team management to ensure the sustainable growth of our cooperative and processing facility.**Responsibilities**:- Oversee the end-to-end operations of Surivit N.V., ensuring smooth production and distribution processes for cassava-based products.- Implement and streamline operational workflows to improve productivity, quality control,and cost-efficiency.- Manage inventory, procurement, and supply chain logistics, ensuring availability of raw materials and timely delivery of finished products.- Lead and mentor operational staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide data-driven reports to support strategic decision-making.- Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement initiatives that align operations with Wi Suriname's mission of sustainability and community empowerment.- Ensure compliance with food safety, labor, and environmental standards.Qualifications:- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management,Business Administration, or a related field. Experience in the food processing industry is highly preferred.- Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management, ideally within a manufacturing or food production environment.- Proven ability to develop and implement operational strategies and improve efficiency.- Proficiency in supply chain management and inventory control.- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations within a food processing environment.- Proficient in budgeting and financial management.- Excellent communications, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.- Proficiency in Google Workspace and other productivity tools.- Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Dutch is a plus.
