Network Solution Architect

We are hiring for the Architect role in the Network Engineering department. The Architect is a Solution Architect responsible for leading requirements analysis, shaping, designing, testing, and implementing new solutions, and acting as a point of contact for internal and external customers. Location: São Paulo, Brazil (training and onboarding in Lisbon, Brazil). Fluency in English is essential. Key Responsibilities Iterate with the customer (internal and external) and other stakeholders to determine the technical requirements, risks, technical impacts, and recommendations. Design new consumer and corporate telecom solutions. Collaborate with technical teams to define reliable, modular, scalable, and customer‑centric solutions, and plan and review solutions. Design and present solutions in documents and workshops, clearly identifying impacts, effort, and resources needed. Prospect new solutions through elaboration and analysis of RFI/RFP processes and negotiation with potential suppliers. Follow up new technology trends in the telecom industry and identify interesting solutions for the product portfolio. Define and follow up on company technological evolution roadmaps. Document the existing technology portfolio and propose recommendations for improvements or alternatives. Ensure and control quality of documentation execution (HLDs, LLDs, WOs, etc.). Ensure and control implementation quality, understanding end‑to‑end system testing requirements. Ensure the network complies with industry standards and regulations. Conduct capacity and performance analysis, reporting, and improvement solution definition. Work on complex solutions that influence the design of current products and address design issues for future products or technologies, enhancing, simplifying, and optimizing existing applications and processes. Evolve the engineering maturity to align with the non‑functional and functional state‑of‑the‑art. Communicate transparently with the whole business. Reach out to other teams and work toward alignment and continuous improvement. Requirements Must Have Excellent understanding of Mobile Networks and its architectures. Experience with MVNO architecture(s) and landscape; familiarity with roaming environment, including technical, commercial and regulatory aspects. Solid knowledge of networking principles & protocols, including security. Experience with network protocols such as MAP, CAMEL, SIGTRAN, DIAMETER, SIP. Knowledge and experience of OCS and Gy/Sy interfaces. Experience with VoLTE and VoWiFi. Experience with LTE, 5G, IMS, IP technologies and protocols. Familiarity with cloud‑based solutions and virtualization technologies. High‑level and low‑level design experience; capable of developing and presenting internal and external documents. Experience with 5G Core Mobile Networks. Experience with monitoring tools and protocols in Mobile Networks. Anticipate problems and address them before they cause impact. Understand how big‑picture goals inform technical details and vice‑versa. Ability to work in complex, multi‑cultural and distributed teams. High attention to detail; does not leave things unaddressed. Business‑oriented; can engage and discuss with non‑technical persons to create technical requirements. Excellent communication and presentation skills. English proficiency mandatory; other languages are a plus. Degree in Telecom Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience. Nice to Have Experience with cloud applications monitoring and analytics. Experience with AI/ML cloud‑based service assurance.
