Head Of Supply Chain

The position is part of COO LAT area and will work closely with key business stakeholders, The Head of Supply Chain & Transport will be responsible for a regional team, improving supply chain & transport business performance, and developing relationships with strategic partners and internal stakeholders across the Vestas organization. Regional responsibility of shaping the demand in the region in collaboration with Sales to optimize the regional portfolio support the global supply network team on regional perspective bringing the transport quotes towards sales pipeline for regional project portfolio, ensuring all regional inbound transport and logistics, all and outbound regional logistics and optimizing costs in the supply chain for regional projects, regional factories and inventory management at all levels. Responsibilities The main responsibilities include but are not limited to : Supply Chain : Develop a vision and strategy for Vestas LAT region future end-to-end Supply Chain Benchmark and implement best-in-class Supply Chain initiatives Define and deliver regional Supply Chain optimization initiatives with specific P&L impact Facilitate long‑term sales forecasting Enable sales with maturing the portfolio of projects until order intake (timing, capacity, budget, configuration) Optimize the portfolio of projects, manage projects risks and changes with transport and construction Ensure the on‑time‑in‑full delivery and minimize the budget variance Manage the inventory and leadtimes end‑to‑end Develop logistics processes, capabilities and tools for internal and external factories Foster leadership mindset, capabilities, and functional standards within unit Recruit key talent for the organization and ensure optimal alignment of talent to meet business goals Secures the management of short and long‑term risks associated with key suppliers Actively partner and collaborate with other functions including Sales, Service, Manufacturing, Procurement and Construction Transport : Ensure safe and timely deliveries to Factories, Construction and Service locations Lead, support and develop the team. Control and mitigate risks Participate in developing concepts and processes across regions to reduce overall operating costs Investigate and support problem‑solving of safety, delivery and transport quality issues Ensure cost controlling and deviation explanations for all transport related costs. Ensure processes and standards are implemented and followed Coordinate with stakeholders including authorities, suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure best possible results Support due diligence for entry into new markets and with new processes Qualifications Distinguished Business or engineering education supplemented with supply chain / transport experience. Leadership experience on an international manufacturing company. Demonstrated experience in enhancing Supply Chain efficiency and spearheading initiatives to reduce costs. Building relationships with key suppliers to find additional savings Demonstrated competence in forming robust, effective teams and an extensive background in executive roles, particularly within a multifaceted and geographically dispersed business akin to Vestas. Management and situational leadership in a matrix organization with global customers, business units and globalized support functions. Established history in discerning and promoting personal development, together with orchestrating team dynamics in an extensive, heterogeneous international organization. Demonstrated ability to develop a growth strategy, communicate a compelling vision and engaging the organization. Proven efficiency in guiding a multi-disciplinary team, including engineering, manufacturing, and sales departments, to fully capitalize on the potential of the supply network.
