They leverage conversational AI and radar technology to simplify complex care plans, connect care teams, and provide proactive support to patients in their homes. Their solutions focus on enhancing accessibility, improving clinical outcomes, reducing care delivery costs, and fostering a more satisfactory healthcare experience overall.


Job Summary

Our client is seeking an experienced Firmware Engineer to contribute to the development and refinement of a cutting-edge IoT system designed to revolutionize care for senior patients. In this role, you will be instrumental in extending firmware and applications, bringing up new hardware components, and resolving firmware issues within their AI-enabled, sensor-driven devices. You'll work across the entire firmware stack, from low-level bus protocols to higher-level transport layers, delivering high-impact features that improve the patient and caregiver experience.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and continuously improve high-impact features for customers.

  • Perform embedded development in C/C++ within a multi-threaded environment, delivering high-quality code for devices.

  • Work on delivering new features aligned with the total software release cycle.

  • Work across the firmware stack, including low bus level and transport layer, to debug, resolve, and fix issues.

  • Collaborate closely with hardware teams to help ship high-quality products.

  • Communicate ideas effectively to the team and collaborate both orally and in writing.

Qualifications and Job Requirements
  • 3+ years of professional software development experience.

  • 2+ years of experience writing and maintaining production-ready code.

  • Strong programming skills in C/C++.

  • Experience with Linux kernel and device driver development.

  • Experience with NXP i.mx8 processor family and architecture.

  • 3+ years of experience in the full software development life cycle, including device bring-up, code reviews, debugging, source control, and testing.

  • Development experience in one or more of the following: Yocto Linux, MQTT, cybersecurity, or Speech SDKs.
