Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or equivalent practical experience.
- 7 years of experience in Financial Planning and Analysis, Accounting, Consulting, or a related field.
- Ability to speak and write in English and Portuguese fluently.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in financial planning and modeling within the payments or technology industry.
- Experience with financial data tools, spreadsheets, and Enterprise Resource Planning/forecasting systems (i.e., SAP, etc.).
- Experience with early stage product development.
- Ability to be a trusted translator between product and finance leadership.
- Ability to adapt to new approaches in a rapidly changing environment.
- Excellent business acumen, analytical, problem solving, and internal controls/risk management skills.

Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. Working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to take on big picture challenges.
As someone who knows the workings of the core Finance team inside and out, you'll lead individual projects to transform planning, tracking and control processes. You'll provide senior level management with insightful recommendations, planning and reporting support.
The Payments Business Finance team supports the Global Payments team. Our goals are to help Google be successful in building Payments products and a Payments Platform.
As a Senior Financial Planning Analyst, you will work with parts of the banking/payments ecosystem including networks, issuers, gateways, and Finance Technologies to deliver the best solutions globally. Our goal is to enable safe and easy payments for Google users and to drive growth across products.
The name Google came from "googol," a mathematical term for the number 1 followed by 100 zeros. And nobody at Google loves big numbers like the Finance team when providing in depth analysis on all manner of strategic decisions across Google products. From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.
**Responsibilities**:
- Oversee product offerings, investments, and growth initiatives to drive business growth.
- Manage product, provide actionable financial analysis and business insights, help drive business growth and cost optimization mechanisms, lead planning/forecasting, and develop/enhance driver based models.
- Partner with Product Operations and Product Managers to develop/review business plans and evaluate investment decisions.
- Analyze commercial partnership agreements and new business opportunities to influence business decisions regarding agreement structures, operationalization, and returns.
- Design, develop, and report on Key Performance Indicators to monitor the performance of agreements and operations in order to create a platform for strategic decision-making.
