Responsibilities Demonstrates creativity, foresight, and mature engineering judgment in anticipating and solving engineering problems during the development and application of new and improved products and processes. Establishes best practices that incorporate Reliability, Health, Safety, and Environment concepts to guide others in analysis and design. Evaluates proposed theoretical results to meet design requirements. Serves as a technical expert to other employees to solve complex system equations and develop custom equations to simplify complex problems by using advanced engineering tools. Serves as a technical expert by coaching, developing, and reviewing work from other employees. Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams. Significantly contributes to Halliburton’s Intellectual Property portfolio by delivering innovative and commercially successful solutions. Work across multiple teams located in different countries (Brazil, US, Singapore, India). Work close to the Electrical Engineering team, Systems Engineer, and the Project Manager at the Halliburton Technology Center in Brazil (HBTC). Qualifications Completion of a master’s degree in electrical engineering or similar discipline is preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 2 years of experience in R&D. Experience in design solutions for subsea applications and well control involving multi disciplines is desirable. Experience in design solutions for well intervention applications involving multi disciplines is desirable. Familiarity with Risk Assessment and FMEA. Knowledge of communication systems/solutions (data compression and transmission). Troubleshooting of communication electronics and proficiency in using lab equipment. Working knowledge of electronic circuit design and in commonly used circuit simulators (LTSPICE, PSPICE, etc.) and math tools (Matlab, MathCAD, etc.) applied to embedded systems in harsh environments (O&G or aerospace) is desired.
