- 10 + years of technical project/engagement management in an industry or consulting capacity
- Experience using Waterfall, Iterative and Agile methodologies
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate cross functionally with both internal and externally stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Past experience creating and managing project plans and ownership over the preparation and dissemination of project communications
- The ability to travel throughout Brazil up to 50% of the time for training, conferences, and customer engagements. Additional travel may be required if you're located outside São Paulo
Job summary
At Amazon Web Services (AWS), we're hiring a Professional Services' Senior Engagement Manager in Brazil to lead AWS consultants, partner, and client teams within the Brazil Public Sector.
This professional will be responsible for leading scope, schedule, and cost of customer implementation projects at AWS cloud. This professional will leverage AWS's delivery methodology to manage project teams with both technical and business stakeholders.
Bringing this professional management and leadership capabilities, this professional will successfully deliver digital transformations to customers by proactively identifying and managing risks, resolving issues and escalating when needed.
We're looking for someone that is motivated to solve complex customer challenges and fueled by continuous learning in their role. This professional will be supporting Brazilian Public Sector (mainly government) projects in this role. As a member of the AWS Professional Services team, this professional is joining a team that invests on this professional success by providing comprehensive learning and mentorship programs.
- Must be able to represent AWS within the customer's environment and drive discussions with senior personnel regarding trade-offs, best practices, project management and risk mitigation. Very welcome if experienced on Cloud related type of projects;
- Proven experience with Agile Methodologies and Frameworks (SAFe, SCRUM, KANBAN, etc)
- Shareable experience managing one or more projects with a combination of 10+ resources, 12+ months, or $500k+ in contract value.
- Experience with Project Financial Management
- Demonstrated ability to develop relationships with all levels of stakeholders.
- Experience building artifacts to support external and internal stakeholders resolve blockers.
- Proven success working with teams and executive leadership in a complex enterprise environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (Portuguese and English) with team members and audiences of all levels. Plans and oversees the preparation and dissemination of project communications.
- Excellent presenter and communicator in both oral and written form in one-to-one and one-to-many forums.
