Role

We are looking for an experienced Lead Application Developer to join our team on projects with a major OEM, focusing on the development of next-generation mobile applications for the automotive industry. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping the technical direction, ensuring the design, development, and delivery of high-quality mobile solutions that will transform the driving experience.

Contract type and compensation
  • Contract type: Permanent or contractor (freelancers accepted)
  • Compensation: 200 BRL / hour as contractor or 230k BRL / year as employee

Responsibilities
  • Define and drive the technical strategy for mobile application development (iOS/Android).
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineering teams to deliver scalable and secure apps.
  • Provide hands-on development and lead by example through coding, code reviews, and architectural decisions.
  • Mentor and support other engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
  • Ensure seamless integration of mobile applications with backend systems and vehicle platforms.
  • Stay up to date with emerging mobile technologies and bring innovation to the projects.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
  • 7+ years of professional experience in mobile application development.
  • Strong expertise in iOS (Swift/Objective-C) and/or Android (Kotlin/Java).
  • Proven track record of designing and delivering high-quality mobile apps at scale.
  • Experience with system architecture, API integration, and security best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to mentor and guide engineering teams.
  • Automotive or connected services experience is a plus.
