Senior Accountant

Overview

We have a current opening for a Senior Accountant . This position can sit out of our Sacramento office, Dallas office, or work remotely.

• Evaluate financial documents for accuracy and compliance.
• Assist with multi-state payroll tax setup.
• Assist with job cost adjustments.
• Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.
• Improve current accounting and financial record keeping processes.
• Prepare ad-hoc financial reports.
• Maintain the general ledger and assist with account reconciliations.
• Assist with accounting and payroll inquiries.
• Perform analysis of overhead accounts.
• Maintain union accrual analysis, job cost adjustments, and business licenses in all cities and states in which we work.
• Analyze financial data for forecasting department budgets.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance from a four-year college or university.
• 3+ years of relevant working experience in either public accounting or private industry; experience in the construction industry preferable.
• Fundamental knowledge of GAAP.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Deadline and detail oriented.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Power BI.

• $85,000/year - $90,000/year
• This is an exempt position.
