Senior Flutter Developer

We're building a cutting-edge virtual office platform for remote and hybrid teams.

The Role

You'll be responsible for designing, building, and evolving our desktop client for macOS. This will involve shipping a high-performance, stable, and well-instrumented app that integrates video/audio, real-time features, and collaborative tools.

  • Create a clean architecture, modular layers, and reliable state management for the Flutter macOS app.
  • Integrate RESTful APIs and real-time services such as WebSockets/Streams.
  • Implement audio/video features using flutter_webrtc: device selection, camera/mic permissions, I/O routing, and stability under variable networks.
  • Ensure end-to-end observability: instrument product events/metrics; triage errors with Sentry; capture UX signals with Microsoft Clarity where applicable.
CPU & GPU Optimizations

Minimize rebuilds, cut redundant layout/work, move heavy tasks off the UI thread, and frame scheduling discipline.

  • Profile with Flutter DevTools (CPU/GPU/frame timeline) and add performance budgets (avg CPU%/GPU frame time) to CI gates.
  • Track before/after metrics per feature; regressions must be fixed before release.
Requirements

Familiarity with English, strong experience with Flutter and Dart building Desktop apps, proven work reducing CPU/GPU usage in Flutter apps, solid grasp of architectural patterns (MVC/MVVM/Clean), Dependency Injection, and state management.

  • Firebase or equivalent, Microsoft Clarity (for UX/session insights in web-embedded contexts), and Sentry for error/performance monitoring.
  • Proficiency in Git, code reviews, Continuous Integration (e.g., GitHub Actions/GitLab CI), and Jira work logs/time tracking.
