Role Overview

As a Full Stack Engineer at Eqvista, Inc., you will be responsible for developing and maintaining both the frontend and backend components of our equity management platform. You will work on a variety of projects, from enhancing user interfaces to optimizing server-side functionality. Your expertise in full stack development will be crucial in delivering high-quality, integrated solutions that meet the needs of our clients and drive our platform’s success.

Key Responsibilities

• Full Stack Development: Design, develop, and maintain both frontend and backend components of our equity management platform, ensuring a seamless and efficient user experience.
• Technical Implementation: Build and implement features, APIs, and services that integrate frontend and backend systems, with a focus on performance, scalability, and security.
• Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, and other engineers to gather requirements, understand user needs, and deliver solutions that align with the product vision.
• Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards. Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Performance Optimization: Optimize application performance, including improving load times, responsiveness, and overall efficiency across both frontend and backend systems.
• Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve complex technical issues, debugging and troubleshooting problems to ensure a high-quality user experience.
• Testing and Documentation: Develop and maintain automated tests for both frontend and backend components. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for code, processes, and systems.
• Innovation: Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive innovation and improve our platform’s capabilities.

Requirements

• Experience: 4+ years of experience as a Full Stack Engineer or in a similar role, with a strong portfolio of projects demonstrating your expertise in both frontend and backend development.
• Database Knowledge: Experience with relational and non-relational databases (e.g., SQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL).
• API Development: Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and experience with API design and integration.
• Collaboration: Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment.
• Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing technical challenges.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree or relevant certifications preferred).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with equity management or financial services applications.
• Familiarity with cloud-based platforms and technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
