Motec is a leading manufacturer of heavy-duty camera systems and specializes in the development and production of camera-based driver assistance systems (ADAS) for commercial vehicles and mobile machines. We are a German medium-sized company with over 30 years of experience in the design and manufacture of robust, reliable cameras and mobile electronics. Motec is part of AMETEK Inc., a leading global manufacturer of electronic instruments and electromechanical products.
To strengthen our Purchasing team we are looking for a dedicated:
**Lead Buyer (f/m/d) Electronics**
**What tasks await you?**
- Development and continuous adaptation of global purchasing and product group strategies
- Conducting RFQs, tenders and negotiations
- Identification and realization of cost improvement potentials
- Supplier management including selection, risk assessment and audits
- Coordination of product group strategies with local purchasing organizations
- Participation in cross-functional project teams
- Handling of escalations and clarifications
**What do we expect from you?**
- Completed studies in the technical or commercial field or a commercial apprenticeship with appropriate experience in purchasing
- Experience in strategic purchasing, preferably in an international environment
- Strong negotiation skills and analytical skills
- Knowledge of TCO analysis and supplier risk management
- Fluent in German and English
- Willingness to travel for supplier visits and audits
