Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Requirements Engineer to join our dynamic team. The Requirements Engineer will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and documenting the requirements for various feature request of our Digital Emergency Services, ensuring that the final deliverables meet regulatory requirements and business needs. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a thorough understanding of requirement engineering processes.

You will collaborate closely with the product owner and with cross-functional teams working in the areas of cloud backend, embedded systems, CPaaS systems, security and operations to ensure that all requirements and defined and understood by all participants. You also make sure, that all developed functionalities are fulfilling the defined requirements, are documented and communicated effectively.

What we expect

• Collaborate with product owners and field organizations to understand their needs and refine their requests into clear, actionable requirements.
• Investigate and translate regulatory and business requirements into detailed product features and specifications for the development teams.
• Create comprehensive requirement documents, including functional specifications, use cases, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Work closely with the product owner to support in the development process, including defining feature scope, tracking development progress, and ensuring alignment with development goals.
• Maintain and update technical documentation throughout the product lifecycle.
• Develop test plans and test cases to validate solutions.

Who we are looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of proven experience in requirements engineering, or a similar role.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with large, complex, and highly scalable systems, preferred in the area of emergency systems, embedded systems, IoT or similar solutions
• Knowledge in writing of testing cases and the manual execution (Unit, Integration, Functional)
• Coding skills and experience with IoT and cloud applications is preferred
• Proficiency in requirement management tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps).
• Experience with modeling techniques (e.g., UML, BPMN) is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
