
Human Resources Generalist

- Facilitates the implementation of systems, programs, tools, and processes designed to improve management and employee performance, productivity, engagement, and results.
- Maintains Human Resource Information System records with accuracy and timeliness including full responsibility for data entry of new employees, ensuring accurate separation data, and reconciling HR and Accounting database discrepancies.
- Assists with benefits administration particularly during open enrollment.
- Liaise with outside vendors for HR systems.
- Assists with the processing on weekly and semi-monthly payroll.
- Monitors system performance and analyze opportunities for process improvement.
- Coordinates employee recognition programs and events.
- Conducts recruitment of exempt and non-exempt personnel and temporary employees.
- Maintains accurate and timely job postings.
- Assists with the equal employment opportunity and affirmative action programs, with specific responsibilities to include reporting for EEO-1, VETS-100.
- Assists in payroll processing for weekly and semi-monthly paid employees.
- Able to maintain the highest degree of confidentiality and professional discretion.
- Other duties as assigned and ad hoc reporting as assigned by Human Resource Manager.
**REQUIREMENTS**
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or in a related field.
- Three - Five years of experience in Human Resources preferred.
- Demonstrated experience working in a dynamic, fast-paced atmosphere.
- Superior communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Must be able to handle multiple projects and priorities.
- Experience with Human Resources Information Systems, applicant tracking systems preferred including Microsoft Word and Excel and database software.
- Proven ability in areas of problem solving, independent decision making, and conflict resolution.
- A proactive, creative, honest, and self-reliant personality, critical thinking, pragmatic & strong project management skills.
