
Sr New Business Development Manager

**Position Summary**
A senior Business Development Manager plays a critical role in driving the growth and success of an organization.
The primary responsibility is to drive the growth and expansion of the company by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, proactively scouting synergistic licensing in and licensing out deals, while representing the LATAM organization in the assessment of Global Deals.
Among other activities the NBD Senior Manager will:
- Manages projects, programs or processes for the strategic partnerships and alliances area.
- Develops actionable insights through analysis of trends and the competitive landscape to continually improve the organization's strategic partnerships and alliances strategy.
- Adapts strategies to create integration partnerships, channel partnerships, and strategic alliances within emerging markets and companies.
- Guides junior colleagues through consultation and mentoring in techniques and processes and provides functional (matrix) supervision.
- Integrates Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives into team goals and decision making.
**Major Duties & Responsibilities**
**Strategic Planning**
- Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies that align with the company’s goals and objectives.
- Identify new market opportunities and emerging trends to drive business growth.
- Conduct through market analysis aiming to understand industry dynamics, competitive landscape, and customer needs.
- Evaluate potential partnerships/alliances that could benefit the company.
- Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
› Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to business development activities and outcomes.
› Analyze performance data to identify areas for improvement and adjust strategies accordingly.
**Portfolio Management**
- Portfolio & Life Cycle Management of mature assets enabling the clusters to pursue growth opportunities through more effective allocation of resources, including Licensing Out opportunities, Promotion & Distribution Agreements and execution of local and/or global Divestments.
- Continuously develop and manage a robust pipeline of business opportunities aiming to maximize the brands value through strategic partnership and alliances.
**Supporting Global Deals**
- Lead the assessment of global projects across all TAs (Oncology/Hematology, Immunology, Neuroscience, Retina and Cardiovascular), actively participating in the discussions with corporate organization and LATAM cross functional team, contributing to the project beginning-to-end.
- Increase LATAM share of voice ensuring the region is well represented in global deals.
- Actively participate in key discussions sharing the region dynamics and implications for the deal, making sure regional needs are appropriately incorporated, maximizing the value of the future assets in the region.
- Lead LATAM assessment providing critical review on EPI data, competitors landscape, Pricing scenarios, Regulatory timeline, Market access opportunities, GTM strategy and P&L.
- Ensure NBD LATAM framework is applied according to the asset development stage.
- Actively seek for TAs strategy development to assure LATAM is aware on the moving forward global direction.
- Ensure leadership endorsement.
**Scouting for Licensing In Opportunities**
- Continuously promote and lead scouting strategy, actively looking for synergistic licensing in opportunities with contribution in the short term.
- Reach out partners positioning J&J IM as the best partner of choice in LATAM.
- Own the process: opportunity understanding followed by project kick off; alignment on assumptions; forecast model and critical review on BC; approve going in and walk away scenarios, followed by senior leadership endorsement.
- Lead the negotiation process and interface with internal and external stakeholders always working in collaboration with cross functional teams and countries.
- Ensure contract signature upon deal approval following agreed terms.
- Establish clear governance on Alliance Management activities with active role in the steering committees.
- Communicate deal closure across the organization.
**Cross-functional Collaboration**
- Collaborate with internal teams, including commercial, regulatory, medical affairs, pricing, market access, HCC, business quality, legal, finance, and supply chain, to ensure alignment and support for business development initiatives.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field.
- Fluent English required, Fluent Spanish is a nice to have.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role, with a proven track record of success in the Healthcare Industry.
