The company develops anti-piracy and license compliance technology for enterprise software vendors. Its products help customers identify unauthorized use of their software and turn that insight into legitimate revenue.
The structure is flat, communication is direct, and engineers are trusted to take responsibility for their work.
The role
Your main focus is maintaining and improving the SmartFlow gateway: an established .NET application that receives incoming SDK data, processes it and removes duplicates.
You will help take over this application from an external development partner. That means understanding the existing code, building knowledge within the company and becoming a reliable point of responsibility for its ongoing maintenance.
The work centres on keeping the application running reliably, investigating issues and making targeted improvements to data cleansing and processing. The gateway handles substantial data volumes, with capacity managed largely through elastic scaling in AWS. You will work closely with the CTO and contribute to other engineering work where your skills are useful.
Your work will include:
- Understanding and maintaining the existing .NET gateway.
- Investigating application issues and problems in incoming data.
- Improving data cleansing and duplicate handling.
- Implementing and testing fixes and targeted improvements.
- Documenting how the application works and supporting knowledge transfer.
Requirements
You bring:
- Professional experience maintaining and developing backend applications in .NET.
- The ability to understand an unfamiliar codebase and work independently within it.
- Experience investigating production issues and following them through to a tested fix.
- A practical understanding of data processing and data quality.
- Clear communication and the ability to explain findings, progress and problems.
- Professional English and reliable working-hour overlap with Dublin.
Experience taking over an existing application from another developer or team would be valuable. Familiarity with AWS-hosted applications or software that receives and processes incoming data is also useful.
You take responsibility for the software you maintain, ask questions and speak up when something needs attention. You listen, take feedback seriously and make considered improvements. You are comfortable working in a small team and helping with other tasks or projects when needed.
Offer
- A long-term remote B2B opportunity with an established software company.
- Hands-on responsibility for an established component of the SmartFlow platform.
- Direct collaboration with the CTO and a small international engineering team.
- Work focused on application reliability, maintenance and improvements to data quality.
- Compensation based on experience, location and technical skills. Range between €40.000-€60.000
