These owners, who share the belief that the majority of property loss is preventable, represent many of the world’s largest organizations, including one of every four Fortune 500 companies. They work with FM to better understand the hazards that can impact their business continuity to make cost-effective risk management decisions, combining property loss prevention with insurance protection. Location and Schedule Full-time, exempt, office-based position in Sao Paulo. Flexibility to work from home 1 day a week depending on business needs. Domestic relocation within Brazil available. Occasional travel to corporate headquarters in Johnston, RI. Testing English assessment required. Responsibilities Manage preparation, filing, settlement and defense of tax returns for subsidiaries in LATAM region. Oversee specialist tax areas, overall compliance, and process development for all legal entities. Engage in tax planning to minimize exposure and reduce audit risk, recommend policies, enforce policies, identify regulatory changes. Supervise most tax computations, prepare complex calculations, assist with modeling exercises. Establish tax requirements for new international business entities, ensure correct setup, engage contacts, comply with FM policy, liaise with authorities. Oversee preparation of local tax provisions and returns, review and approve, ensure timely accurate compliance, respond to inquiries, propose process improvements. Participate in interdisciplinary finance project teams to develop or enhance systems, processes, protocols. Provide tax resource to Global Mobility, Benefits, Payroll, Underwriting and Finance. Ensure transfer pricing requirements met, suitable documentation in place. Understand tax rules region, identify risks, develop strategies, present to management. Reconcile tax accounts in financial statements and general ledger. Support tax audit defense, attend meetings, formulate arguments, provide support, recommend. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications 7+ years of tax experience. CPA preferred. Experience in Big Four or multinational corporations preferred. Deep understanding of LATAM tax regulations, especially Brazil and Mexico. Familiarity with withholding tax regimes and cross-border structuring. Experience with local tax reforms (e.g., Brazilian Tax Reform) nice to have. Excellent communication, ability to translate technical requirements, analytical thinking, root cause analysis. Strong attention to detail, self-motivation, ability work independently and elevate issues when needed. 4-year bachelor’s degree in administration, accounting, finance, or tax preferred. Equivalent tax and accounting experience considered. Benefits Position eligible to participate in FM’s comprehensive Total Rewards program.
