Overview

Software Developer Junior (Delphi, Oracle PL/SQL) — Remote work. Location: Remote – Brazil (must be located in Brazil). Mandatory: English fluency, Delphi, Oracle and Agile/Scrum.

The Team

Eurofins endeavours to develop all of our software applications in-house to service and support our numerous laboratories globally. With hundreds of thousands of clinical diagnostic tests performed every day, the laboratories of the Eurofins clinical diagnostic services business line strive to ensure that every patient, wherever he or she lives, has access to the most specialized and most innovative techniques for diagnosis, monitoring and therapeutic decisions. Such activities require extensive planning and organisation which can be augmented by the use of technology.

Our Clinical LIMS Europe Program will extensively be used as the central Laboratory Information Management System throughout Europe, this role is crucial in defining and delivering the product roadmap.

Job Focus

In the role, you will work with a dedicated, enthusiastic team developing enhancements to a Laboratory Information Management System (a LIMS) and supporting the LIMS' multiple customers. This position supports Brazil-based operations and the Europe LIMS program as described above.

Responsibilities

• Estimate the complexity and the workload
• Choose the most appropriate technical solution to meet the user requirements
• Design, develop and deploy changes to the LIMS according to the customers’ and business users’ requirements
• Support the LIMS in collaboration with other team members
• Work together with other team members (Engineers/QA) to ensure high quality of delivered solutions
• Ensure good practices and high quality standards are implemented and followed

Experience / Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience developing solutions using Embarcadero Delphi 2006 or later (Delphi 12 preferable)
• Experience with using Delphi to develop Windows Services and/or UI Forms is a bonus
• 2+ years of experience with Oracle PL/SQL
• Strong working knowledge on server-side development with Delphi and/or with Oracle PL/SQL
• Strong analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills
• Good understanding of relational databases (Oracle 9i, 11c or later)
• Strong knowledge of Agile software development practices, particularly Scrum and/or Kanban
• Clear experience in collaboration with Business Analysts and Software Architect(s)
• Some experience in test driven development and test automation
• Comfortable in unit testing and mocking with Delphi
• Ability to translate functional requirements into technical solutions

Education

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or similar
