This role will be the Focal Point for Shell Energy Brazil’s Trading Desk control.**What you’ll be doing**As a Trading Desk Analyst, you will be responsible for the following duties:* Adhering to Shell’s Business Principles, market Regulations, and contributing to and maintaining a culture of Compliance* To ensure all the trading transactions and exposures are represented accordingly in the Shell’s systems* To ensure all the trading transactions are in accordance with pre-established risk parameters* Collaboration with gas and power trading, operations, and sales/origination teams* Contributing to and ensuring alignment with Shell Energy Brazil and Shell Energy Americas’ overall goals and strategies* Interacting with other support functions in the organization such as Finance, Credit, Legal, Compliance, and Market Risk* Knowledge of the developing Brazilian Domestic Gas market and an understanding of the fundamentals that drive it* Knowledge of the Brazilian Power Trading market and an understanding of the fundamentals that drive it* Collaboration with the financial trade group to understand exposure management of long dated derivative exposures that the trade book will carry**What you bring*** Must have legal authorization to work in Brazil on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer* Bachelor’s degree in Math, Engineering, Economics, Business, Finance, or related field* Minimum one (1) year of experience with market risk at a trading business (power trading), banking, or in any work-related field* Fluency in both Portuguese and English* Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, understanding of financial modeling* Good interpersonal skills* Respect for colleagues, and the ability to work as a part of a team in a fast-paced dynamic environment.* Extensive spreadsheet management skills (Excel, Power BI)* Database management and programming skills are a benefit to this role* Kindly submit your resume in both Portuguese and English**What we offer**You bring your skills and experience to Shell and in return you work with talented, committed people on one of the most important challenges facing our planet.
