**Trading Desk Analyst**

**What is the role?**

As a Trading Desk Analyst, you will be responsible for the following duties:

- Adhering to Shell’s Business Principles, market Regulations, and contributing to and maintaining a culture of Compliance
- To ensure all the trading transactions and exposures are represented accordingly in the Shell’s systems
- To ensure all the trading transactions are in accordance with pre-established risk parameters
- Collaboration with gas and power trading, operations, and sales/origination teams
- Contributing to and ensuring alignment with Shell Energy Brazil and Shell Energy Americas’ overall goals and strategies
- Interacting with other support functions in the organization such as Finance, Credit, Legal, Compliance, and Market Risk
- Knowledge of the developing Brazilian Domestic Gas market and an understanding of the fundamentals that drive it
- Knowledge of the Brazilian Power Trading market and an understanding of the fundamentals that drive it
- Collaboration with the financial trade group to understand exposure management of long dated derivative exposures that the trade book will carry

**Requirements**:
**What we need from you**
- Must have legal authorization to work in the Brazil on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Economics, Business, Finance, or related field
- Minimum two (2) years of experience with market risk at a trading business (power trading), banking, or in any work-related field
- Fluency in both Portuguese and English is a must
- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, understanding of financial modeling
- Good interpersonal and commercial skills
- Respect for colleagues, and the ability to work as a part of team in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
- Extensive spreadsheet management skills (Excel, Power BI)
- Database management and programming skills are a benefit to this role
