What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
  • Generate conference business by making personal visits and calling on companies and associations in specific markets
  • Book meetings, conferences, and social events from assigned areas while maintaining old account files and soliciting new accounts
  • Dedicate significant time to direct telephone sales and respond to all correspondence from assigned areas
  • Conduct site inspections and maintain constant contact with corporate planners
  • Stay informed on industry trends and maintain accurate forecasts and recap information
What is Required (Qualifications)
  • Minimum 3-5 years of sales experience in group sales at a 3 or 4 Diamond resort with at least 200+ rooms and over 10,000 sq. ft. of meeting space
  • High school diploma or equivalent; minimum 2 years of college preferred
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Proven ability to function in high-impact customer situations
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays

  • Experience in hotel sales or related industry
  • Aggressive, outgoing, and self-motivated individual with a pleasant personality
  • Proficiency in computer programs such as Word and Excel
  • Ability to document customer arrangements with extreme accuracy
  • Maintain a clean and organized appearance
