Position Details

• Position Title: Mechanical Assembler
• Reports To: Production Supervisor
• Location: Fermoy, Cork, Ireland
• Job Type: Full-time

Position Summary

As an ABEC Mechanical Assembler, you will assemble components or products using various tools and equipment according to specifications.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accuracy and attention to detail during fabrication.
• Operate hand tools, fabricating equipment, and measuring devices.
• Work on stainless steel fabrication, including cutting, grinding, polishing, welding, bending, and assembly.
• Operate overhead cranes and forklifts.
• Inspect and maintain shop equipment for safety and proper operation.
• Perform tasks safely and as assigned.
• Travel as required.

Qualifications

• Junior certificate or equivalent.
• Trade qualification (e.g., Pipe fitter / Plumber) is advantageous.
• Experience with stainless steel, tanks, piping, and vessels is beneficial.
• Ability to read tape measures and perform basic math.
• Blueprint reading skills.
• Proficient with hand tools and fabrication tools.
