Overview

The Precision Medicine Manager will be responsible for developing and leading J&J's Regional precision medicine strategy in collaboration with key cross-functional stakeholders of the organization. The role shapes and optimizes the precision medicine environment and requires extensive pharma, precision medicine and diagnostics experience, strong leadership, and deep scientific understanding of diagnostic tests and testing pathways to enable tailored testing solutions for the precision medicine portfolio and pipeline.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement a Regional Commercial PM strategy for biomarker-driven assets, collaborating with teams across therapeutic areas.
  • Lead cross-functional precision medicine plans for LATAM assets including diagnostics solutions and complementary tests to optimize patient care.
  • Support internal stakeholders by sharing insights for regulatory and payer submissions, translating policy trends, identifying quality assurance measures, addressing training needs, and evaluating medical/scientific accuracy of core dossiers.
  • Establish and maintain a world-class Precision Medicine program management capability.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of key products and therapeutic areas, define test journeys, and engage external testing providers, pathologists, and clinicians involved in diagnosis and management of patients requiring precision medicines.
  • Support design and implementation of regional PM strategy with Strategy, Operations & BD Director and cross-functional teams.
  • Promote a robust internal training program for precision medicine across the organization.
  • Ensure guidance and governance on standards, processes, policies, and compliance with laws and Johnson & Johnson policies.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Molecular Biology, Medical Sciences, advanced life sciences, Genetics or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in the diagnostic lab/pharmaceutical industry/biotech; MD, PharmD or PhD considered.
  • Strong understanding of precision medicine and companion diagnostics; experience in diagnostics commercialization preferred.
  • Ability to champion commercial input on new biomarkers/tests, conduct market research, and develop commercial-ready target test profiles.
  • Passion for precision medicine, ability to identify opportunities to maximize commercial impact; leadership and communication skills; ability to simplify complex information.
  • Experience working in a matrixed environment, building relationships, resolving conflicts, and influencing teams without formal authority.
  • Strong analytical skills; fluent in English and Spanish; Portuguese desirable.
