ROLE PURPOSE:
Support the knowhow and advisory service for the Sustainable Energy Team.
Advise but also support Head Knowhow and Advisory SE in client meetings with finance institutions and counter contract parties to obtain the best balance of insurance and risk management for assets to access finance successfully.
Support broking team and head Knowhow and Advisory SE with RFP's and knowhow-related research projects and portfolio deep dives.
The job holder has no line management responsibilities.
Planning/Reporting:
- Works with guidance from manager to agree key priorities and organise own work activities to ensure that personal and Team objectives are achieved
- Participates in team meetings as required, reporting on business progress within their area of expertise
- Manages assigned projects and contributes to other projects as required
- Provides relevant management information to senior managers
Technical:
Advisory Service
- Support head Knowhow and Advisory Service in advisory activities
- Prepare proposals for advisory RfPs using various sources of collateral
- Research cutting edge technology with a view to supporting RfPs
- An understanding of the sustainability energy regulatory landscape to guide clients on how to prioritise
- An understanding of financial modelling, business case development and ESG tracking, reporting and modelling technologies
- Support evaluative innovation for commercial exploitation
- Contribute to and enhance decisions made by the head Knowhow and Advisory Service
- Gather and analyse information from others to support conclusions and actionable outputs
- Produce original content in a variety of formats to help establish Head Knowhow and the Advisory Service as a thought leader in the sustainable energy industry
Knowhow Lab
- Support Head Knowhow and Advisory Service to provide innovative content and product design in support of client initiatives
- Assist in the production of internal and external training material
- Support collection of data on renewable energy technologies
- Assist in building-up data-driven risk analytics
- Support broking and RfP's where needed by providing robust content
- Maintain an analytical understanding of the product offering
- Champion a data-driven approach to decision-making
- Help with deep dives portfolios on topic technology, claims patterns and performance
Policy, Process and Procedures:
- Works within agreed parameters and uses relevant systems to ensure documentation/communications adhere to company procedure/compliance requirements and provide an adequate audit trail
- Processes data promptly and accurately on relevant systems in order to support and improve high levels of client service/internal process execution and to facilitate informed analysis
- Maintains appropriate client files, and oversees the prompt and accurate production of documentation to best meet client, company and regulatory requirements
- Adheres to company policies and procedures and obtain necessary authorisations at appropriate points in the process
- Ensures appropriate due diligence/sanctions checks are conducted in line with company procedures
Environment, Customer Focus and Relationships:
- Builds and maintains strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external contacts to ensure service delivery meets expectations and is compliant
- Provides support and assistance to senior colleagues and/or their clients on request
- Deals with incoming enquiries from clients, insurers and third parties
- Solicits advice and guidance, when appropriate, from their line manager
- Responds to the clients(both internal and external) requirements as appropriate
- Behaves with all clients (both internal and external) fairly and ethically
- Shares information that could be beneficial to the Operating Entity/Group
Personal Development:
- Actively undertakes personal development to ensure up to date knowledge and understanding of best practice
- Remains aware of external, industry, legal and regulatory developments etc. to ensure practice and outputs are of a sufficiently high standard
- Keeps informed of all legal and regulatory developments relevant to the Operating Entity/Group
