Backend Software Engineering Lead

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Software Engineering Lead to join our team. As a key member of our engineering organization, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex backend systems using Java, Spring Boot, and Oracle PL/SQL.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to define architecture, implement microservices, and drive technical discussions around strategic decision-making. Your expertise in software development, versioning tools, continuous integration, RESTful APIs, and agile methodologies will be invaluable assets to our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop scalable, secure, and efficient backend systems using Java, Spring Boot, and Oracle PL/SQL.
  • Collaborate with engineers to define architecture and implement microservices.
  • Lead code reviews, ensuring high-quality development practices and performance optimization.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the team, promoting sustainable solutions and best practices.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, technologies, and emerging standards.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, contributing to the growth and knowledge sharing within the team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Proven experience in software development, preferably with Java (Spring Boot) and Oracle PL/SQL.
  • Strong understanding of microservices-based architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems (Git), and agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and suggest effective solutions.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams.
