Finance Process and Technology Consultant — We are seeking a Business Process Consultant (BPC) in Montevideo or Sao Paulo to bridge business needs, processes and technology, ensuring solutions and processes are efficient, standardized, and fit for purpose. This role supports Syngenta's Finance Process & Technology organization by driving cross-functional collaboration and delivering integrated, compliant finance solutions.

• Lead and support transformation initiatives, including system implementations like S/4HANA and digital finance platforms.
• Lead process, design and solution discussions — drive the selection of technical solutions and identify changes to the current business process to deliver the to-be solution. Understand downstream systems and their impact on the global finance ecosystem.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., IT, PMO, regional finance leads) to deliver integrated solutions that enhance data quality, reporting, and decision-making.
• Translate business requirements into scalable and compliant solutions and process designs.
• Ensure process harmonization across geographies while respecting local legal and operational nuances.
• Drive continuous improvement through process optimization, automation, and adoption of best practices.
• Support governance and portfolio management, ensuring initiatives are prioritized, tracked, and aligned with Syngenta's finance strategy.
• Seek opportunities to partner with key stakeholders in different process areas, providing process leadership and expertise to challenge, support, enable and improve Finance performance; conduct regular FP&T portfolio reviews with Finance stakeholders and reprioritize when necessary.
• Provide stakeholder visibility to the status and health of programs, including finance teams, project sponsors, and senior management; communicate updates, risks, and financial implications clearly.
• Secure appropriate resources — influence Senior Finance Leadership for business resources and manage resources to support projects within scope.
• Manage project plans, deliverables and resources — lead planning and execution of regional finance-related projects with timelines and milestones to ensure timely delivery.
• Coordinate with IT to assure technical delivery — identify all Finance-related implementations and determine whether existing solutions will be changed or decommissioned; manage interaction between Finance colleagues and Managed Service Provider (on/offshore).
• Champion Finance processes by applying required methodologies, tools, and techniques to deliver change management; engage with regions to identify opportunities for common project delivery and cost optimization.

Required

• Finance Process Expertise (7–10+ years): Strong background in finance operations across ATR, O2C, or P2P; experience in financial process design, optimization, and compliance.
• ERP & Digital Tools Proficiency: Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA, SAC, BW4, and automation platforms.
• Process Design & Optimization: Ability to map, assess, and redesign processes for efficiency, scalability, and compliance.
• Data & Reporting Acumen: Understanding of data structures, reporting requirements, and analytics for decision-making.
• Project & Portfolio Management: Ability to manage initiatives, track progress, and ensure delivery.
