Medical Doctor What You Will Do You will play a key role in supporting the Operations team in Brazil by providing comprehensive medical guidance in the management of medical assistance cases and claims. Your expertise will help ensure that clients receive safe, evidence-based, and cost-efficient medical care, both domestically and internationally. Roles and Responsibilities Review medical reports and case details to support the assistance and claims teams in determining eligibility for minor claims. Provide expert assessment on the appropriateness of medical care to ensure quality control and cost optimization. Collaborate closely with the Medical Director of the Global Medical Competency Center (MGCC) in Canada to ensure all clients receive evidence-based care aligned with Allianz Worldwide Partners Medical Guidelines. Liaise with and support the MGCC Canada medical team in managing complex care claims for hospitalized clients from Brazil while abroad. Assist in coordinating medical repatriation and transportation back to Brazil when needed. Provide guidance to other MGCCs and Allianz Partners business units whose clients are hospitalized in Brazil and require expert navigation of the local healthcare system. Offer medical insights in cases involving complaints or legal claims to ensure optimal case management and adherence to medical standards. Support escalated client inquiries in order to ensure a high level of client satisfaction. Assist in arranging domestic medical evacuations, repatriations, and transport when medically necessary. Evaluate the quality of medical facilities in Brazil and other South American locations as required. Represent Allianz Partners Brazil in meetings with business partners and prospective clients, as well as in conferences, interviews, and media engagements related to medical services. Contribute to the development and enhancement of local operations related to medical case management, ensuring alignment with organizational structures and systems. Serve as a key resource for the broader medical team in Brazil, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Key Working Relationships Head of Operations Brazil Medical Global Competency Center - Canada Medical Director Medical Assistance Team including Case Managers Other Brazil Medical Team member What you will bring Medical Doctor with clinical experience Preferred background in Emergency Medicine, Intensive Care, Family Medicine with some significant Emergency / Hospital experience, General Surgery or Internal Medicine Fluent in Portuguese and English.
