Product Data Architect

The cost of water is rising as an aging workforce is unable to adapt and multi-million dollar infrastructure decisions are being made without the best data. **Role Description**
We're looking for an experienced Data Architect to work in a progressive product culture in Klir and help build a world class SaaS solution for our users. We need you to help in the continued build out of the Klir platform to ensure we continue to deliver a world-class customer experience as we continue to scale.
**What You Will be Doing**:
- Be the enterprise-wide technical lead for data. You will define the enterprise data strategy and roadmap to make our data management and analytics a competitive advantage. You will engage and partner with stakeholders in the Business, Product, Design and Engineering teams to ensure the strategy and data infrastructure built support their data reporting & analytics needs while assisting with data-related technical issues.
- Designing the data blueprint. You will visualize, design and prepare data in a framework that can be utilized across the enterprise by product managers, engineers and data / business analysts. As data is a key integration point for our business processes you will provide critical input to the overall business, systems and data architecture design for our platform. You will identify, plan and implement internal process improvements that could include re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability and lower latency, optimizing data delivery for extraction, transformation & data loading, and automating manual processes.
- Providing data-driven solutions to business problems. You will build analytical tools to utilize the data pipeline, extracting data analytics into key business performance metrics including operational efficiency and customer acquisition & retention. You will partner with product management in building POCs and building revenue-generating solutions.
- Further developing the data analytics and reporting component of the Klir Platform including PowerBI Tabular models which will include a focus on data intelligence.
**Responsibilities:**
- Collaborate with Product Management, Design and Engineering to design data models that support the product roadmap as the technical expert for data warehousing principles and data model design patterns across the organization
- Work closely with development teams on solution design and implementation with a focus on security, controls, data integrity and performance
- Communicate architectural and design patterns through documentation and presentations to educate development teams, business users, and senior leadership
- Deliver via the Agile methodology and embrace the DevOps culture across the software delivery lifecycle
- Develop and implement an overall organizational data strategy that is in line with business processes
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications, including data streams, integrations, transformations, databases, and data warehouses
- Define reference architectures using patterns others can follow to create and improve data systems
- Development of the Klir Analytics platform currently centered on PowerBI, with a view toward the utilization of big data platforms.
