Offer Description
Activities and context: The project's objectives are to compare the metabolic profiles of Citrus species with different levels of susceptibility to HLB and to understand the role of metabolism in resistance or susceptibility to Candidatus Liberibacter asiaticus, through LC–HRMS-based metabolomics studies using resistant, susceptible, and transient Citrus species, as well as genetically modified Citrus plants developed to repel the insect vector Diaphorina citri. The fellowship recipient will be involved in LC-HRMS analyses, mass spectrometry data interpretation, and metabolomics studies.
Mandatory requirements: Ph.D. in Chemistry or related fields, obtained within the last 7 years; experience in metabolomics analyses, data processing, LC-HRMS, and statistical analyses.
This opportunity is open to candidates of any nationality. The selected candidate will receive a FAPESP Post-Doctoral fellowship in the amount of R$ 12,570.00 monthly and a research contingency fund, equivalent to 10% of the annual value of the fellowship which should be spent on items directly related to the research activity.
