Manufacturing and Facilities Manager

Job Description Summary Perform the daily operations of plants to ensure reliability and consistency on the production line, including Service Shops. Responsible for departmental operations planning/execution or focused on execution of professional activities within a technical discipline. Functions with some autonomy but guided by established policies or review of end results. The job allows modification of procedures and practices covering work as long as the end results meet standards of acceptability (quality, volume, timeliness, etc.). What you'll do Manage and plan the GE CSS Campinas shop operations to reach defined targets in safety, quality, delivery, and cost. Ensure continuous business improvement according to benchmarks and standards. Lead a team of hourly employees and contractors. Work closely with the Quality Assurance team and act as lean leader in the shop. Take ownership of Kaizen/Lean events with the ultimate goal of defining process improvements and cost reduction initiatives. Create or update procedures as needed. Manage inventory levels and guarantee accuracy through cycle and annual counting. Define and implement best practices to mitigate excess and obsolescence. Work with suppliers and the Tax Team to treat scrap components promptly. Implement S&OP based on backlog and forecast with support from the Planning Team. Have full control and visibility of manufacturing workload and manage resources to fulfill business requests. Report workload through regular updates. Manage shop operational activities such as equipment assembly (internal and outsourced), internal test activities, and factory acceptance tests with customers. Guarantee high quality standards and promote daily, weekly, and monthly meetings with the internal Supply Chain Team. Develop, control, and update project schedules. Ensure on‑time delivery and quality assurance. Collaborate with project management and engineering. Suggest mechanical layout, wiring diagram, and overall project improvements as part of continuous improvement. Develop, implement, and control all manufacturing KPIs. Oversee all facilities activities: industrial and building maintenance, janitorial, and Plant & Equipment projects. Negotiate with suppliers and control CAPEX budget and schedule. Demonstrate high levels of safety, security, and quality practices and act as a role model for plant staff. What You'll Bring Graduation from an accredited university in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Production Engineering. Advanced English skills. 3‑5 years of experience in the Energy, Oil & Gas, or related industry within a global company with projects of high and moderate complexity. Experience with planning and/or manufacturing activities in a shop operations environment. What Will Make You Stand Out Finance/Tax experience in purchasing and asset activities. Act as the point of contact for TRS matters with Engineering and ITO. Coordinate national logistics chain (inbound & outbound) and overall shipping documents, packaging, and wooden crate processes. Previous experience with highly customized projects for Latin American customers. Intermediate Spanish skills.
