We are hiring the best talent for **General Accounting; LEA (IFRS Accounting / US GAAP ACCT), Team Lead** to be located in **Sao Paulo.**

This role is part of the A2R Americas Finance team responsible for General and Legal Entity Accounting A2R duties in Brazil
**Key Responsibilities**:
Core responsibilities include:
- Responsible for the complete and accurate accounting for all the General process flows for the Balance Sheet and Income Statement. This includes but is not limited to managing OIE, Retained Earnings, Equity clearing, Interest, Royalties, Brand Marketing Expense costs. In addition, making sure allocations and apportionments are accounted for correctly.
- Responsible for the completeness and accuracy of both the US and Local GAAP & Tax reporting working closely with the Country Tax Centers (CTC). This includes but is not limited to recording the statutory ledgers and maintaining accuracy of parallel ledgers (if applicable), focusing on ensuring the correct tax accounting and liaison / coordination with internal and external audit teams
- Timely closing & execution of financial periods as per closing calendar and in accordance with SLA commitments, fully observing Compliance, Internal Audit & SOX requirements
- Accountable for completeness, accuracy and validity of the actuals reported within process/entity scope
- Driving deep expertise, ensuring team are fully knowledgeable of the Worldwide Procedures and compliance requirements for respective areas
- Generate ideas, foster, and implement continuous improvement mindset, identifying and pursuing process efficiency opportunities
- Execute global Strategy & Solutions in line with taxonomy
- Internally recruit, mentor, and drive the individual Process SMEs to ensure cross sector, cross region, and cross process alignment, ensuring good documentation is maintained and consistency of a global approach
- Influence and Execute process improvements, generating ideas and implementing them in line with global standards
Compliance
- Support auditors and legal authorities with the execution of required activities
- Understand, adhere to, and execute worldwide policies and procedures. Identify compliance risks and recommend solutions to remediate / prevent breach
- Ensure strong internal controls are in place, to achieve "adequate" internal and external audit ratings
Leadership and People Management
- Attract, develop, and retain a highly competent, high-performing, motivated and diverse Credo-based team
- Develop succession plans for and support career development of the team
- Ensure effective performance management within team
- Lead Accounting team of 7+
Travel
- Up to 10-20% international travel
**Qualifications**
- A minimum of a bachelor's level degree or equivalent is required, preferably in accounting or finance
- CPA, CMA, MBA and/or other financial certifications are preferred
Languages:
- Fluent English, other language skills desirable
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
Experience and Skills Required:
- At least 4 years of professional experience is required
- At least 2 years of Management / Supervisory experience is required
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with employees at all levels
- Strong Analytical Skills
- Be open to new ideas, rapid change and embracing new technologies
- Experience in a Shared Service Centre of a multinational corporation or BPO
- Experience in a Global Account to Report function of a large multi-state company
- Ability to handle ambiguity and fluid situations, demonstrating a pragmatic approach
- Successfully manage multiple priorities, be very organized and work efficiently to tight deadlines
- IFRS and US GAAP accounting knowledge
- Proficient in ERP systems (SAP preferred) and MS Office in particular Excel
