Bloomberg Intelligence ("BI") is seeking an equity analyst to cover the Latin American Consumer sector. BI conducts in-depth research on large and midsize companies to assist stock and bond investors in evaluating them. We analyze each business's unique attributes, industry competition, and how business strategies impact financial results. Our analysts also consider technological, regulatory, and economic factors shaping the environment of these companies and their industries.

BI research combines written analysis with interactive charts and analytics derived from company-reported, industry, and government data. Analysts curate this data into dashboards that support their research and provide Bloomberg Terminal users with a platform for data analysis. Our work offers trading and investment professionals deep insights into key industries' current state and future directions.

What's In It For You

You will join a dynamic team of analysts producing company-specific and topical analysis within the broader Latin American consumer sector. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality, differentiated content and curating our data offerings.

What You'll Do

  • Leverage your knowledge of the Consumer sector to create research regularly.
  • Monitor major company developments and identify macro themes and trends.
  • Manage earnings cycles, including previews and reviews.
  • Collaborate with global Bloomberg Intelligence analysts and strategists.
  • Engage with investors, industry professionals, and company management.
  • Work with Data teams to ensure data quality and completeness.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

What You Need

  • Substantial experience in Equity Research, focusing on Consumer companies in Latin America.
  • Fluency in English, Portuguese, and Spanish.
  • Deep knowledge of the Latin American Consumer sector.
  • Experience interpreting financial statements and performing financial analysis.
  • Knowledge of finance and accounting practices.
  • Strong research and writing skills in English.
  • Proficiency in Excel and/or Python.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated, independent, and collaborative.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent; CFA, MBA, or similar preferred.
