Flight Control Engineering Manager

Boeing Commercial Airplanes is is seeking a **Flight Control Engineering Manager** reporting to the Airplane Systems Senior Management team. This role will support the teams at the Sao Jose Dos Campos, Brazil location.
This role requires strong technical knowledge of the Flight Control system and leadership ability to manage critical work statement within the team. This position may manage an Integration team or one of several of our Flight Control Equipment teams (Electronic or Mechanical focus) on the 777X program or within the Design Center.
**Position Responsibilities**:
- Managing team priorities, work statement, and budget allocation
- Oversight of technical decision-making and engineering quality
- Reporting and elevating status to senior management
- Direct coordination with Supplier and/or Customer
- Performance management and mentorship of an engineering team
- Cross-functional coordination with other organizations such as Avionics, Crew Ops, Airplane Safety, Aero, System Stress, Production Engineering, and Supply Chain

**Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)**:
- 3+ years of experience in management or leadership role
- Knowledge of Flight control systems
- Post-Secondary education in Aeronautical/Aerospace, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering
- Fluent in both written and verbal English
- Must be legally able to work in Brazil
**Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience)**:
- Experience working development and sustaining programs
- Experience working with system engineering principles
