Position: Occupational Safety Technician Location: São Paulo, Brazil Work model: On site Employment type: Full-time Remuneration: Base salary About the Role We are looking for an Occupational Safety Technician to support the implementation of preventive actions, hazard control, and legal compliance across the organisation. This role plays a key part in strengthening the companys safety culture, ensuring adherence to Brazilian OHS regulations, and supporting SESMT in delivering effective technical performance. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Investigate accidents and incidents, analyse root causes, and follow up on corrective measures. Promote and deliver OHS training, workshops, and awareness campaigns across the organisation. Ensure proper use, documentation, and control of PPE and collective protection systems. Maintain mandatory OHS records, reports, and NR-4 documentation in full legal compliance. Advise operational teams on safety standards, procedures, and risk controls for daily activities. Participate in emergency drills, evacuation exercises, and first-aid activities. Coordinate with contractors and relevant stakeholders to ensure compliance with OHS requirements. REQUIREMENTS: Advanced proficiency in English (at least B2), both written and spoken Technical degree in Occupational Safety (Técnico em Segurança do Trabalho) or equivalent recognised in Brazil and registered as required by NR-4, Annex II. Minimum 35 years of experience in occupational safety roles, ideally in industrial or high-risk environments. Strong knowledge of Brazilian OHS legislation including NR-4, NR-1, NR-5, NR-6, and related regulations. Proficiency in safety inspection tools, reporting, and risk assessment with strong analytical and communication skills.
