Job Description

The Med Tech LATAM Business Unit Controller is a key position that provides financial leadership and strategic support to the Regional Franchise model, which includes the Depuy Synthes, Ethicon, and Cardio Specialty Surgery businesses. This role requires strong collaboration with Global Franchises to ensure strategies and financial targets are aligned and cascaded down to the region. The position reports to the MT Regional Finance Director and leads a team of finance professionals across the region. It also involves participation in Franchise Leadership teams within LATAM.

Primary Responsibilities Include
  • Manage and provide strategic direction to the Franchise Finance Leads supporting the three key businesses of the Region.
  • Establish frameworks and processes for evaluating New Product Launches, ensuring profitability and appropriate return on investment.
  • Partner with key leaders to improve profitability through customer segmentation, portfolio optimization, SKU rationalization, and leading the Innovation Day Agenda during Financial Forecast cycles.
  • Collaborate with Franchise and Cluster Leadership to integrate acquisitions, accelerate innovation, and pursue new business models to expand patient access.
Qualifications
  • Fluent in English
  • At least 3 to 5 years' experience in a managerial role with supervisory responsibilities
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Accounting or Finance; MBA, CPA, or CMA preferred
  • Experience in strategic support, financial planning, and analytics within Business Units
  • Excellent analytical, conceptual, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Ability to work independently, influence decision-making, think creatively, and work across teams
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and lead process or strategic improvements
  • Location options: São Paulo or Colombia
  • Up to 10% travel may be required
