Leading Software Quality Engineer

Senior Test Automation Engineer This is a crucial individual contributor role responsible for designing, building, and maintaining advanced test automation frameworks to drive innovative testing practices and significantly raise the quality bar across the entire development lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have expertise in at least one object-oriented programming language used for building production-level code and automation frameworks, proven experience designing and scaling test automation frameworks, and deep practical knowledge of CI/CD tools and containerization technologies. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and implement highly scalable, reliable, and maintainable test automation frameworks from scratch across multiple platforms (e.g., web, API, backend services). Serve as the technical authority on testing methodologies, tools, and best practices. Evaluate and integrate new automated tools and technologies into the existing test infrastructure. Drive high standards for test code quality, structure, and maintainability, including code reviews for automation scripts and framework contributions from senior engineers. Design and execute advanced non-functional tests, including performance and load tests, and integrate them into the CI/CD pipeline. Mentorship & Leadership: Coach and mentor junior and mid-level engineers on technical design, testing strategy, and effective automation techniques. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for test strategies, automation frameworks, and best practices to enable self-service quality for all engineers. Contribute significantly to the long-term quality roadmap and technology choices alongside engineering managers and principal engineers. Candidates must have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Preferred qualifications include experience in a domain-specific area, certifications in cloud technologies, and advanced mocking/stubbing tools and service virtualization.
