**ABOUT OUR TEAM
We are looking to appoint a Digital lead accountable for partnering with the Region, Area and Market level Medical teams for creating, driving adoption of, and delivering value from digital and omnichannel capabilities.
International Commercial consists of markets in Asia, MEA, LATAM, Australia, New Zealand and Russia with a revenue of close to USD 7bn. International is a dynamic, collaborative and fast growing business.
**ROLE BACKGROUND?**
At AstraZeneca, our IT organisation is pushing the boundaries of technology to enable the digitisation and transformation of the business. In Commercial IT, we are focussed on smoothing the Patient and HCP journey through Digital Innovation and supporting the growth of the business through impactful launches, field effectiveness and digital/omni channel capabilities - all founded on deep partnerships with our business colleagues. Our internal capabilities are predominantly created and delivered by our global IT organisations and are cloud based and mobile enabled - this includes Infrastructure.
This role works with the Medical team across International to shape the organisation’s future through the implementation of digital ways of working to support the scientific engagement objective of the Medical organisation. The role will drive the digital transformation for International Medical and ensure team and individual performance to deliver the business strategy and objectives. The role partners with Director - Medical IT and Medical leadership team to identify digital priorities and areas for omnichannel delivery. A key area of focus is the Medical omnichannel in International where this role shapes the objectives and key results, drives creation, delivery and adoption of digital channels of engagement, enables a single view of the customer to different office and field medical teams, and supports delivery of campaigns for pre and post launch scientific engagement.
The role also provides leadership in area of measuring the outcomes of digital and omnichannel initiatives in uplifting scientific leadership for Medical. The role partners with the global team to understand and mould global omni channel strategy and to bring global platforms to International. Significant engagement is required for partnering with area and market Digital and Medical teams for executing the digital and omnichannel strategy.
Successful delivery in this role requires effectively shaping the strategy and proficiency in enabling impact through strong partnering with cross-functional teams in a matrix organisation.
**ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED?**
- Experience of leading teams with a demonstrable track record of motivational and achievement oriented leadership
- Strong experience of developing relationships with senior internal customers and suppliers
- Deep experience of understanding (external) customer journeys and designing new customer experiences.
- Strong track record of multi-channel or omnichannel capability creation
- Experience of engagement and influencing of region level stakeholders
- Communication and influencing across very broad base of cultures (Asia, Latam, Western etc) and to senior levels
- Deep experience of Data Enablement capabilities and strategy definition - both for internal data sources and external eg RWE.
- Strong track record of delivering Digital solutions with clear outcome metrics
- Advanced proficiency in strategic planning, change enablement and innovation
- Experience of leadership in a complex/geographical context
- Proven skills of managing budgets, resources and timelines
