Body Structure Engineer

This position is hybrid, requiring the employee to work in person 3 times per week.
What You'll Do (Responsibilities):- Collaborate with design teams to develop body structures that meet safety, performance, and aesthetic requirements.
- Construct and follow up on the Multifunction Component Timing Chart to ensure on-track product development and execution.
- Recommend alterations to development and design to improve product quality and procedures.
- Resolve highly complex technical issues and conduct advanced research.
- Interact with Manufacturing teams to develop and optimize manufacturing processes for body assembly, including welding, stamping, and joining techniques.
- Work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure product design meets process efficiency, production, and quality standards.
- Implement quality assurance protocols to ensure body structures meet specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct root cause analysis and resolve quality issues during production.
- Coordinate requirements and design reviews with suppliers (e.g., DFMEA, DRBFM, Peer Reviews).
- Evaluate and select materials for body components to optimize weight, cost, and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on project goals.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding material and process specifications.
- Analyze test results and recommend design improvements.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Automotive, Production, Automation preferred).
- Proficiency in stamping components, metallic materials properties, and manufacturing processes.
- Advanced or fluent English skills (writing, speaking, listening).
- Legal ability to operate a motor vehicle (active driver's license).
- Active CREA certification.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
